So camp America is out of the window. They sent me a letter saying that I don't have enough experience working with children - Nevermind :P
So now, I have decided to apply to Chelmsford college. I've decided to do the Public services course and see if I can (in the future) become a Police Officer. Hopefully to end up in a riot squad as a mounted officer :D that's the hope, anyway!
So last monday, we went to Thorpe park, we had a wicked time. Was 75 miles to drive each way, really busted me up for the week I have just had at work.
Only thing is the queue's were rediculously big! There was a 3 hour queue for the new Saw ride (which SUCKS - It's all hype "/) ... We got on in 20 minutes !
You see my friend Charlie is blind which means he gets disabled passes which get us on to all of the rides without queueing for too long :D
It rules !
As for Alex mentioned in the last post, not my kind of person =(
But last week/weekend I met up with some friends from stortford a couple of times, had some more fun :D
Not alot coming up in the next few weeks although my birthday is next month !
28th May, my 18th ! I cannot wait!!

Pretty sweet weekend
Ok, so same as last week - we had an M&S party at Adam's place.
I got Mashed.
I got there a while early and hadn't eaten much that day, of course I started drinking.
By the time everyone else got there, I was on my third bud and we had just started shots of ... lots :)
So we ended up taking lots of photo's (did we??) and a fair amount are pretty embarrassing and involve plenty of lack of clothes haha.
Then in the morning - not feeling too great - we made a day trip to Southend!
Was a tonne of fun, we played on the machines, were tempted to walk along the pier (longest in the world TBH) but thought that we couldn't be arsed! Then we finished the day off in Ingatestone playing some snooker/pool. Was a successfull weekend if i'm honest.
Plus, Matt has - as he says - 'Set me up' with a girl who i'm hopefully meeting tomorrow. I know sweet FA about her. All I know is her name is Alex :)
I'll be sure to keep you posted :P

LOTS of news!
To start - Happy New Year !
Ok, so I haven't posted in what? ... 5 months? ahh who cares, no-one reads this anyways ;)
But I am going to try and post more often because I have some news :O
So alot has happened in the past 5 months. I'm still working at M&S and the opportunities there that I mentioned earlier are now my everyday activities. A&A (Accuracy and Accountability) is all about the stock levels and making sure we have the right amount, Manning the Info desk can be fun - but also GOD boring is it's a quiet day, etc.
I passed my driving test on the 3rd of November !!
I have a little Peugeot 106XL 1.4L Quicksilver, I ADORE it !! I love driving so much, the weekend after I got my licence me and some friends took a day trip to Southend-on-sea, I took my family (and myself) to Bishops Stortford, Herts. I drove all over Essex during the christmas season! I drive when ever I can, I simply love it !
I will hopefully be seeing Emily in the February half term too ! Driving of course !!
Ok, so I mentioned something called Camp America in one of my previous posts. This is actually happening now! I had an interview on Saturday 10/01/09 with Richard Baldwin to make sure that i'm a decent person and should be hired by a camp ( not a terrorist/peadophile/etc ). I think it went really well considering I had to drive for nearly 2 hours to get to Bury St Edmonds near Ipswich for a 30 minute interview -.-".
I now need to get two references (work and school) to show that i'm not making up that i'm a decent person! Then my application will be put into the camp America world and with any luck, a camp will choose me and i'll be flown off in June.
Interesting stuff, right?
Inbetween these things all i've been doing in Gaming, Partying, Working and Driving =]
So s'all good.

M&S, Travelling and Future
Well hey, my second post already :)
So Marks and Spencer have told me that I do in fact have a full time fixed term placement with them starting on the 31st of August, though my first working day is Tuesday the 2Nd. The whole of M&S will also be getting a pay rise of 3.8% or something dumb like that because the NMW (National Minimum Wage) is rising to £5.73. So instead of my usual £6.02 an hour, I'll be getting £6.40, Great stuff ! They have also told me that I am going to be in training for all sorts of new things in store, so I'm becoming important :P.
So my plan for now is to stay with M&S until about June/July time where i will be flown off to America ! There (hopefully in the state Michigan) I will be a counsellor on a summer camp they hold there. This is going to be one of two things for me. Either a great experience to remember, or an opportunity maker. I say this because my eldest brother (Jamie,21) did the same thing when he was 18. He now lives out there with his new American girlfriend, going to Uni together training to be 'Elementary' school teachers (primary).
If this turns out to be just an experience, then my other option is to become a chef. It's something I've been interested in for quite a while and I would say I can be quite a keen chef :).

Introduction
Well hey, I'm Dan, an ordinary 17 year old living in England.
I'm just going to inform you in what has happened in the last month or so.
I finished my first year of 6Th form at Hylands school in Chelmsford and got my grades.
When people ask me what i managed to get, I tend to answer with 'What can you spell with 5 U's?' ... They generally reply with 'Uuuuurm...?' Ha, I rule.. Never mind ...
So that didn't go too well, as you can see, so education past GCSE level clearly isn't my thing. So the 'Mother' insists on getting a full time job -Yawn- Luckily I already have a part time job at Marks and Spencer. I've approached them and they've said they most likely have a place for me, I'll find out tomorrow if I got the placement.
Around 1 year and 5 days ago (too precise?) my best friend, Emily, moved to Stafford (up in the midlands of England). Yesterday, I got a train at 8:00 AM to go see her, spend the day with her and come back today. We had a wonderful time, had dinner where she works (Lasagne Al Forno was amazing!), stayed up and watched Blood Diamond on sky movies and crashed there last night. Such an amazing trip and i'm hoping to go up again in the new year !
Well that's my first post, i'll try and post as often as I can, or when something interesting happens =D.
